I'll be delivering a keynote on igniting an innovative classroom on Saturday, May 24 at the Apps Events, Monterey Bay Summit. The event is at Pajaro Valley High School. Click here to learn more and register.
The Educational Collaborators, in partnership with the Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep, recently announced the San Francisco Summit featuring Google for Education on June 11th and 12th, 2014. I'll be helping coordinate the event. I'll also be providing a session on 20% Time in the Classroom, Interactive YouTube videos, and beginning tinkering with Android and Arduino.
This summit is an open event primarily focused on Google Apps for Education, Chromebooks, Google Earth, YouTube, and many other educational solutions in the Google suite of tools. These events are organized by members of the Google Apps for Education community and most sessions will be led by Google Certified Teachers and Trainers to provide a rich learning and networking opportunity. Join us and we'll see you in San Francisco!
CUE Rockstar is perhaps my favorite professional development event. It is like summer camp for techie teachers and it's almost a religious experience, if you're into that sort of thing. It's a very awesome secular experience if you're not. Either way, it's epic. I plan on leading workshops on 20% Time, Beginning Tinkering with Android, Arduino, and Lego Mindstorms, and Advanced Video Production boot camp. We have INCREDIBLE faculty on board including Diane Main, Megan Ellis, Nick Cusumano, Melissa Hero, Jason Borgen, Bob Kelly, and Stacey Cool. Register here.
